NAHCON puts certain staff allowances on hold during 2024 Hajj Operation

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCONsuspends specific staff allowances during the Hajj operation due to financial constraints.

The Executive Chairman, Malam Jalal Arabi, conveyed this decision, acknowledging the challenges faced by staff and their families.

Despite the current circumstances, there is hope for a potential reassessment of allowances in the future.

Staff are now offered the choice to return to Nigeria after completing 21 days of service.

Arabi addressed staff via a Zoom meeting to explain the situation and emphasize the need for understanding.

The budgetary limitations have also impacted allowances for operational committee members, including the Media Team, Ulama, Security, and other stakeholders. Arabi seeks maximum support and cooperation during this challenging period.
